Location


Pego Power Station is situated 150 km to the north-east of Lisbon, on the left bank of the river Tejo, in the administrative parishes of Pego and Concavada and at a distance approximately 8 km from the city of Abrantes, the centre of the Municipality and the location of the region’s Circuit Court.

Access by road is by the EN 118, which links Abrantes to Gavião, via Alvega.

Access by rail is by the Beira Baixa line, via a branch line constructed specifically which includes a bridge across the river Tejo. This access basically serves to supply Pego Power Station with coal from the port of Sines.
